The BELL Lighting CPD accredited Fire-Rated Downlights presentation training provides detailed information on the current Downlight market, with a focus on Fire-Rated Downlights and their place within UK Building Regulations.
 
Our CPD training is available on an ad-hoc basis as a group visit to BELL House for in-house training, or through a visit from your local BELL Lighting Area Sales Representative.

What does our training presentation cover?

Our CPD accredited training aims to explain why fire-rated lighting products are important, whilst highlighting the risks of using low-quality products. In addition to this, our training aims to ensure that participants understand the different types of ceiling joists within the UK market, with a further goal of providing information on the testing process for UK ceiling joists.

Our training covers the following areas:

  • The two main aspects of fire safety for a new or newly refurbished building
  • The importance of fire-rated products and the building regulations which make them essential
  • The types of area which must be deemed as fire resistant
  • The ways in which fire-rated downlights slow down the spread of fire
  • The meaning of 30 / 60 / 90 minute designations
  • The different types of UK ceiling joists
  • The UK ceiling joist testing process
  • An overview or UK ceiling joist manufacturers
