Compact Fluorescent Lamps [CFLs] are being phased-out, with many products already ceasing to be available in the European and UK market. This phase-out is due to an update in RoHS Directives, the global benchmark for reducing toxic substances in electronics, with the CFL ban being implemented to target the mercury content in CFLs.

Compact Fluorescent Lamps are still found at various sites across the UK, with their use being commonplace across a host of product types, from Downlights and Panels, to Bulkhead products.
