Commercial Lighting Product Development Engineer/Designer


Location: Foxbridge Way, Normanton, West Yorkshire

Hours: 40 per week

 

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Lighting Product Development Engineer/Designer to be an integral part of our technical team. The successful applicant will be responsible for the design and development of new and updated products with all associated technical background requirements.

About the Role
Your daily duties will include:
  • Design new products from Cradle to Grave.  
  • Work as an essential part of the technical team including the prototyping and testing of new products in readiness for product launch.
  • Manage multiple projects within agreed budget and project timescales.
  • Work alongside Procurement, Quality control, assembly to ensure the effective delivery of all new products into production.
  • Leading technical design reviews and analysis on existing products to improve efficiency & quality.
  • Keep up to date with all new LED technology including controls and smart technologies.
  • Accountability for production documents, drawings, wiring diagrams and all technical files.
  • Elements of technical support, product training and CPD presentations.  
Your working hours will be 40 per week Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm.

We are looking for an experienced, technically gifted and driven candidate who want to succeed with a well-established, forward thinking market leading company.
Our ideal candidate will have:
  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally, with close attention to detail.
  • Organisational and numerical skills to manage projects, budgets and specifications etc.
  • High level of design and development of new and updated products using Solidwork 2D/3D CAD system.
  • Proven knowledge and experience of product development and design application.
  • LIA Certificate training an advantage.
  • Min 3 years’ experience in the commercial lighting sector or very similar.

Sales Administrator

 

Location: Normanton, West Yorkshire
Hours: 37.5 per week

We are looking for an experienced sales administrators to join us as a member of the team at our head office in Normanton. You will become a core member of the sales & customer service team providing call and administrative support for our customers, whilst learning a vast knowledge of the Lighting industry along the way.

About the Role
This role includes providing call and administrative support to our customers based around the UK. You will be the first point of contact for new and existing customers, where your daily duties will be:
  • Processing Customer Orders via email and telephone;
  • Checking Stock availability, delivery dates and advising customers of any back order dates;
  • Respond to all incoming requests and taking ownership of customer enquiries, ensuring these are resolved in a timely manner;
  • You will act as the face of the business, interacting with customers in a professional and efficient manner;
  • Stay up to date on new products, services and policies;
     
Your working hours will be 37.5 per week Monday to Friday, flexible between the hours of 9:00am and 6:00pm.

We are looking for an experienced, motivated individual with a passion for providing excellent customer service. Our ideal candidate will have:
  • Experience working in a customer service role or office environment;
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written;
  • A friendly, professional telephone manner and attitude;
  • A high focus and passion to provide the highest level of service to our customers;
  • Moderate IT skills with experience using Microsoft packages;
  • The ability to work well both individually and as part of a team;
  • A ‘can do’ attitude with an interest to learn

Sales Support Executive x2 

(1 Permenant, 1 Temporary Contract)

 

Location: Normanton, West Yorkshire
Hours: 37.5 per week


Bell Lighting is a well-established, rapidly growing manufacturer of high quality lamps and luminaries.

Established in 1920, Bell Lighting is a leading manufacturer with 100 years’ experience within the industry.

We are looking for 2 experienced sales Support Executive to join as members of the team at our head office in Normanton. You will become a core member of our Business Development team, providing support to our external sales team and customer accounts, providing a vast knowledge of our products to incoming queries from our customers.


About the Role
  • This is a busy role playing a key part within our sales support team, providing a high level of support to our customers. Your working hours will be 37.5 per week Monday to Friday, flexible between the hours of 8:00am and 6:00pm. Your daily duties will include:
  • Supporting the external sales team in developing and maintaining relationships with assigned customer accounts by constant interaction;
  • Understand the customers’ needs and potential opportunities to better service their requirements with our product portfolio and offers;
  • Answer all customer queries efficiently and professionally, providing advanced quotations, advice & excellent product knowledge;
  • Take a proactive approach in potential costing levels for assigned customer accounts alongside the external sales team;
  • Provide administrative support to the external sales team with their sales activities as required to build the relationship with our customers;
  • Maintain and record all relevant information on CRM, sales database and Microsoft;
  • Detailed tender document programs with cross referencing and excel editing  
  • Analyse lost business reports and refer anomalies to the Management, whilst also reporting on any trends seen in the market place;
  • Any other administrative duties that may advance the important relationships between Bell and our customers;


Desirable Skills
We are looking for an experienced, driven individual, who is pro-active and passionate about customer service. Our ideal candidate will have:
  • A minimum of 3 year experience working in high end busy customer service role;
  • Strong and confident communication skills, both verbal and written;
  • A friendly, professional telephone manner and positive attitude;
  • A high focus and passion to provide the highest level of service to our customers;
  • Good IT skills with experience using Microsoft packages, including Excel;
  • Ability to quote pricing with knowledge of percentage or mark up from cost or discount percentage from price files
  • The ability to work well both individually and as part of a team;
  • A ‘can do’ attitude with an interest to learn and develop
